This is just a quick over-done enhancement to give you some idea what you can do with this type of shot if you take some time with it.
Not yet up to upload quality, would need further refinement before uploading.

      Thanks for your post Freightdogg,
      In fact I don't refine,
as I do not know how to throughoutly use the tools I currently stick to bapilot2b's post on Photoshop Tutorial for Beginners and
try getting the upload to look the same as when I shot the pics on location
      Regards
      Alain

        Alain,

I downloaded some new imaging utilities tonight and thought I would try them out on these two photos. They look a bit better but the real problem in both is that the camera metering setting allowed the aircraft to be way overexposed. You need to experiment with your camera exposure settings some so prevent that kind of saturation of large white areas in bright sun. Once you get the aircraft exposure correct the rest of the shot will look fine in most cases.

Thanks for this another answer Freightdogg, I will watch more closely on what I do with the camera. As I work on the manual mode, I think I had
an aperture at 5.6/250 in the case of the 707, (this was a K25)
an aperture at 9.5/250 in the case of the DC.8 (this was a K64 roll)
while actually I was on 4 and 8 respectivelly and proceeded in shooting without making another check before pressing the shutter.
          Regards
          Alain
