  • Are closeups ok for uploading?

    I mean photos like this:

Hi. I'm not a screener or any sort of staff member but I think this would be rejected for motive.

I am not a screener either but I think one possible rejection is "part of aircraft cut off" and possibly even "backlit" for the second photo.

You could upload them, but they would not likely be accepted.

It's what I ask, if this kind of shoots - closeups, airplane details - against the rules of JP?

I am interested in this query, as I would like to upload some close-ups of an Australian Bell 47 taken in 1975, but I regularly get Rejects for 'Part of Aircraft Cut Off' when I upload Close-Cropped photos.

Thanks for clarification. Since we are on this, what about such motives? Are it OK, do it needs any special category checked if it OK?

Oh, thank's for clarification! It's second airframe, built for static tests. Is it accounts as vintage? It's quite recent AFAIK, first flight in 1982. Probably JP needs "preserved" and "scrapped" categories?

Just to clarify, does any plane kept as monument counts as vintage? For example: https://russianplanes.net/id230580, https://russianplanes.net/id230587 or https://russianplanes.net/id230626 ?

Yes, every piece as monument or museum exhibition is vintage.
