I wouldn't imagine so. Lots of big stores will have something painted on their roof if they are near a busy approach route and why not? On the Manchester approach to 24R you can see B&Q store with big B&Q tiles painted on the roof.

Flying WN out of DAL I have noticed some rooftop advertising. One place was called OK Paper and the other, ironically enough is the "American Airlines Center" - the arena home to the Dallas Mavericks and Stars.
