Rejected! What's a "bad motive?"

This photo got rejected for "bad motive." I thought it was a unique, if not artistic perspective on a great jet. I'd value some input. Thanks!

Would have been really nice if:

a) The bottom half of the plane wasn't chopped off

or

b) Had been cropped tighter to the bottom of the tail (and not chopped the tip off at the top)

As so often with bad motive's here this is neither one thing or the other. It's too far out to be a well motivated closeup, but too close in to capture the whole subject.

Looking at that picture, nothing grabs my attention. I look at it and ask...."what exactly is he trying to show me?"

An F-16 is hardly remarkable, unless of course you don't or have not seen one often.

It goes over here better than anywhere else. It is just that not EVERYTHING goes over.

Personally, I'd pan the camera down so that the 'SA' was at the top of the photo. As Peter pointed out, there is too much sky!

If all else fails, don't bother uploading and keep them for your personal collection. I've learned to accept that

In that case, there are two wonderful techniques that might aid the photographer:

1.ZOOM OUT

or

2.BACK UP

Either he wanted that Texan banner badly, or there was a giant fence in the way that prevented him from backing up.

I'm guessing the first one, and in the end, he paid the price for it.
