  • Made it to 1,000 pics!

    Hi Everyone,

Well after a mad spate of uploading in the last few weeks, I have finally made it to 1,000 pictures on the database, with the following image:

    photoid=[201642]

Why this pic, read the remarks and all will be clear I'm really glad that I hit this mark on Christmas Eve!

And of course, I want to say a big thanks to Chris Kilroy for hosting this website. Chris, I think that everyone who uses this site owes you a beer, a slap on the back, and anything else your heart desires........OK not everything

And thanks to everyone who has taken the time to open one of my photos. I hope you enjoyed looking at them as much as I enjoyed photographing them.

    Merry Christmas!

    Andrew

      Awesome photo, as always, Andrew!

No need to thank me.. it's me who should be thanking all of you guys who've taken the time to upload, and who truly make this site what it's become in a little over a year!

Here's to a prosperous 2004 for everyone, and for aviation!

Great shot Andy! Congratulations on your 1000th.

What a sad sign of the times though that an APC must be out there guarding the runways, even in neutral Switzerland.

Thanks for the kind messages to all.

Yes, the APC is a familiar sight at ZRH. She was actually charging to the Remote Deicing Pad Charlie to escort to the runway the Swiss flight to Tel Aviv. Followed her all the way to Runway 28, and then sat and patiently watched her go.

A sign of the times indeed

                Andrew

                      Congrats

Congrats on your 1,000 pics. Just looked through your catalog again and there are some brilliant images there to be seen.
I'm up to 24. Just got my first decent camera and am really excited to be able to get some halfway decent images. Hopefully after much practice I'll really be able to get some outstanding shots like some of the masters on this site!

Good Job Andrew, i've been looking at your photographs for a few years now and a lot of your fantastic shots have helped me with my textures for Flight Simulator.

Thanks Andrew, heres to your next thousand.

                          Thanks again Guys!

GrantT, how on earth do you use my photos for flightsim textures. I'm not the most savvy with computers, as you might have guessed

Basically reference so everything is accurate, your close up shots also help with the little details.
