  • Resizing...

How come, sometimes, when resizing in Photoshop, lines become slightly deformed?

Of course, I kept the constraints, but still, some diagonal lines become slightly deformed.

Are you re-sizing in Bicubic format?

Well I was using it all along. Still don't know what went wrong.

What exactly do you mean with "lines become slightly deformed"? Do you mean the lines become jagged or so?

Ok, here's a quite obvious example.

The image on top is the original photo viewed at 50%.
The image on the bottom the same photo cropped and resized to 1024px viewed at 100%.

Note the two circled areas. The top of the fuselage above the "C" or "Canada" seems to be dented on the resized image. As well, the tail appears to be almost wiggly...

                      What to do?

                      Thanks
                      Will F.

                        OK, next steps.

Could you please tell me, how exactly the ORIGINAL picture was made? Perhaps the easiest thing would be to send me that pic with full EXIF infos. If not, please answer me the following questions:
                        - camera type
                        - file format (RAW, JPG, which JPG mode, ...)
                        - IF JPG: special settings (above all sharpening)
                        - IF RAW: conversion settings (again, above all sharpening)

                        Perhaps we'll find out.

                        Cheers

I will send you the photo. Not sure how to make the exif info show.
