    Yeah it must be from the sensor in my phone because i didn’t sharpen the photo manually at all, and I’ve been using the same compression software for everything. I will keep note of this for the future.

    It was meant to say the image looks oversharpened due to how you compressed your file, but I'd guess it's actually compression from the sensor on your iPhone. Smaller sensors like that are notorious for causing that kind of effect.

    Not really, but if ever in doubt (about the category), leave a comment with the upload saying as much, and if there are no other issues, it will be corrected for you.

    I would upload the second one. The first one is overexposed. If you upload both you will get similar rejection. You can find more about this reject reasons clicking here

    I think you've already done enough (too much) editing on the first; contrast is unnatural, and there is a lot of noise visible. Second also quite noisy.

    Crop is subjective, but ok for me. Image looks somewhat compresses, but also ok for me.
