    Good afternoon,

I need some help: I usually have no troubles with the quality of my pictures but somehow my camera sometimes produces halos arround the plane.
Most of the time I don't see them on the normal picture but on the equalized version they are visible.

Example 1, already had been rejected for "editing halos visible":

    -> See arround the tail.

-> Some slightly darker/brighter areas around the body.

The point is, those halos came straight out of the camera (7D MK2) and were not produced during post-editing.

    Two questions:
    1. Is that normal and if not, what do I wrong with my camera settings?
    2. Is there a way to remove those halos afterwards?

I am open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!

I had the same problem for a while. I don't know what camera you use, but I just went into picture control and changed the clarity setting to 0 and that fixed it. Other than that, make sure D-lighting is off if you have a Nikon camera, and don't use the shadows/highlights tool in photoshop.

As mentioned, easiest way to check is put all settings to zero, and the halos should be gone. If not, then it's not your camera. Typical in-camera settings that cause such halos would be things like Clarity or Vibrance, or De-haze.

      7D is a Canon product

          Hello,

a few days ago I received this rejection for "Horizon unlevel": https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=9575586

I already appealed the picture on the same day without getting a result back, so I need your advice.

Here is the picture using the "horizon" tool (markings added):

In the Upload Guidelines it says: "To ensure your photo is level use a vertical reference point such as a building to straighten things out."

That's exactly what I did, and I still got an "Horizon unlevel" rejection. Please let me know what I can improve to get the picture accepted.

          Thanks and best regards

          Johannes

Pretty easy to see that everything is leaning left, even more obvious with the grid applied. Some CW rotation is needed.
