For the former, you are likely to get better results if:- you shoot when the sun is at a better angle (this will help with the contrast/backlighting)
- you get closer to the subject - if possible (this will help with noise/softness, as cropping a lot makes them show up more easily)
- try to learn the limits of your equipment (this will help with the softness/vignetting)
