No, the tripod wouldn't reduce noise. Noise is caused by several things like ISO, the CCD or CMOS itself etc. I would suggest for the time being looking at downloading a noise reduction program for the computer. These are easy to use and some are free. They may blur the picture slightly, but the results I have seen are quite clear.
But you might look at a new camera ASAP.CheckSix

Hmmm...the pics look pretty good. But I don't think a tripod would help...then again, i've never used one.
A tip for better pics is when your close to the planes like in a lot of your photos, try to zoom out as much as you can so that you can get the whole plane in the photo.

How does an airline thats going bankrupt sign new regional carriers, launch a discount airline, purchase new planes, AND repaint their fleet? I dunno, ask United.

since there aren't very many things that you can control in your camera I would reccomend simply working on your framing of pictures (where things go). Read up as much as you can and look up 'the rule of thirds'. Also, dont use digital zoom, ever. It is absolutely uselss because it makes pictures end up very pixely. The best thing you can do is practice practice practice.
