  • Prescreening / postprocessing rejection advice

    Hello,

I received this rejection: https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=8199663 but I don't understand the reason.
Can somebody tell me more explications about this ?

    Thanks in advance
    Jean-Philippe

I'm not a screener, but when you equalize the photo or hit "Check for Dust" it's pretty easy to see editing halos around various parts of the plane, a result of over editing the photo and adjusting the shadows or highlights too much. I hope this helps

As you see, halos are visible around the cockpit, gear, and engine

They're not invisible, otherwise it wouldn't have been rejected.

I understand you can't see anything, but I can, as could the two other screeners who rejected it, so..

                        1. soft, too far (needs tighter crop), borderline overprocessed (editing halos)
                        2. soft
                        3. contrast, overprocessed
                        4. soft

When you get a chance, please read here, especially #4:

                          Thanks for your advices.
I'm sorry, I don't have seen theses rules before posting. I'll do my best to respect them in the future.

About the photo 3, is it too much contrast or it is the opposite ?

Contrast is a little too harsh (strong).
