thanks for the reply! Can you elaborate more on 2 being "dirty"? do you mean the CMOS is dirty?

Also can I get a pre-screen for the following pics? I'm mainly worried about the heat haze(2-5) and rolling shutter(2&5). I picked the ones that the plane body weren't affected, just not sure if the image would still be rejected.

      1. fix for overexposure

Heat haze doesn't seem to be an issue, but the shutte/horizon issue is certainly noticeable on #2 and 5.

So the rolling shutter issue is a hard no for uploading to jp, right? I was trying to save the shutter life by using the electronic shutter

Also, do you think 1,3,4 is passable?

If that's what's causing that slanted effect on the light poles/buildings, then it's definitely something you want to avoid in the future.

Don't see any big issues with those.

Added contrast the all of the pics and tried to fix the last one (if the last one is beyond fixable just let me know!)

I am confused by the first picture since I have done very little processing and don't see any banding on my screen... Can you please elaborate? I also included a higher resolution picture and an un-edited copy if that helps (in the following post)

                  Thank you very much!!!

                      1. patterns in sky remain. they are not visible in the original, so it is something you have introduced, as I said.
                      2. borderline contrast
                      3. ok for me
                      4. dark/contrast. not fixable.
                      5. soft

#1 might be acceptable with more contrast; the others have issues with lighting that can't be fixed.

Hey Dana, thanks for the quick response!

Really appreciate it! (I'd definitely avoid shooting in cloudy days in the future )

                            How about these 5?

                              # 2 and 4 seem acceptable
                              # 1 and 3 are borderline, contrast is not optimal, parts are too dark and parts are too bright, you might be able to improve
#5 has a contrast problem that seems unfixable
