Pre-screening Advice for LewisW295 Please

Taking a stab back through my first few photos. Concerned about softness on the first and motive/distance/softness on the 2nd.I have tried to frame the 2nd image in a slightly different manner to capture the wing vortex/vortices and add some movement to the photo. If these would be classed as the same phase, please can I have feedback for the first image and not the second (I'm under the impression these are different phases of the flight).

1. obstruction/vignetting. looks like fence through part of the frame.
2. too far, dark/backlit, noisy

Noisy and highlights close to being clipped though I'd probably be more concerned about the former.

Noise I can sort out but with the highlights, is it the daylight in the hangar door or are the whites on the aircraft too bright? Apologies for the daft question mate.

Yes, that is contributing to the contrast/exposure issue. Not sure it's bad enough to cause a rejection.

Would this be a contrast rejection? Black aircraft with a deathly white sky.... worst part was that it was blue skies less than 5 minutes after this shot ¬¬

I also have this shot of G-JRHH. Now, I had discarded this one previously but I'm curious if the new work flow (blowing it up with super resolution before resizing) has made it sharp enough for JP?

2 (possibly 3?) I'd like some thoughts on. First up, a BA Cityflyer. Slightly concerned about sharpness and level (which I don't have a good eye for). The 2nd, a taxiing image of a Hawker. On this one, I'm concerned about contrast. Lastly, the same Hawker departing shortly afterwards. Would this be classed as same even though it's a different phase of the flight? If it is, then please ignore image 3. If not, then sharpness, specifically around the reg is concerning. The jetwash seems to of "bent" it slightly but not sure if this would class as haze or not?

All images have poor contrast and haze affecting the quality. Do not think they are fixable.

In regards to the haze, what's the telltale way of seeing this? Try as I might, I genuinely can't see the haze on 1 & 2. With the Cityflyer, I can see the jet blast from the engines but I assume this is not what you mean by haze?

Jet wash/blast and heat haze are two different things. Extremely strong on third image, not too noticeable on the second, and moderately strong on the first. Noticeable when straight lines are distorted instead of being straight.

Thank you for the haze explanation. That gives me something to consider going forward into the summer months.

With the contrast on the last two, is this a fixable "messed it up in post" rejection? The weather and lighting conditions were good on the day so I must admit, I wasn't expecting a contrast issue. Any advice on what I should be looking for when it comes to contrast in fair weather? In post, I ensured that I balanced the histogram without blowing the colours.
