  • Is there a chance for an An225 contrail-photo?

    Hey guys

I have a photo of the Antonov An-225 on FL350. I know it’s difficult for such a picture. I tried anyway, and at the beginning I had to make major adjustments to the color and saturation. I had a rejection because of the contrast. It was a gap on the left side of the histogram. I had improved this and now it is rejected because of Over Processed / Bad postprocessing.

Do you have any tips to save the picture or should I hope for another chance for a picture of the Antonov

    Thanks a lot!

Quality looks not so bad on this. Perhaps with a much better edit, it might be acceptable. Contrast will always be an issue with images taken at such a distance, and compression tends to be as well due to the amount of cropping. If you're having problems with that, try doing all of your editing with a 16-bit tiff file directly from the raw file before you convert to jpeg to upload. That will retain a lot of the fine detail in the sky and will certainly help mitigate some of the issues you might be experiencing.

      Thank you for your answer.
I opened the raw file directly in photoshop. Is there a difference if I first convert as a tiff file and then edit?
