You asked if you should add more contrast. I do not think adding more contrast will improve this image.

Other than that, it is also noisy, oversharpened/heat hazed, and had poor vignetting removal applied.

3) I need editing advice with this one, image pretty much raw, just resized. Should i crop tighter and maybe move the subject down a little bit? If i try to put the nose on the center of the imagem i'd have to crop really tight so I don't know if i should. And what about processing? Adding exposure would pretty much ''kill'' the yellow sunset on the fuselage wich, personally, is something i really liked about this shot. Please, tell me what you think.

This is the photo processed and croped, i tried to crop as close as you did. Would it be accepted? If not, why?

There are issues with heathaze/softness, noise, and contrast/underexposure.

Contrast and exposure were added, and as i pointed out before, brightening the image to much would make ''kill'' the orangish sun light, besides, i tried to expose a bit more but the darker areas were still very dark.

I suppose your talking about the heat haze coming from the engines, well it's distorting such a small part of the landing gear that i don't see why this would cause a rejection (yes, i'm not a screener but this doesn't make a lot of sense to me)

Resizing the image to a smaller size would help? I obviously sharpened the photo, but by doing so the image become very noisy, to fix this i used a mask with a noise reduction filter to remove it from the darker areas while avoiding straight lines and places that should be sharpened.



I really loved this shot and i just don't wanna throw away, i'm sure it could be a good additon to the data base. I hope you understand

It's visible on the wings and elsewhere, so no, I am not talking about the jetwash from the engines. I'm talking about heat haze from the tarmac.

I get that, but unfortunately there's nothing special about this image that would give it any special considerations for more relaxed screening.

First of all, i just want to thanks dlowwa for sticking around and helping me improve my processing and photographing skills, i finally managed to get my first accepted photo a couple days ago.

Can i get a pre-screening/editing advice?

1. Wing view, photo from 2010.
2. Would this photo be rejected due to lack of contrast? As you can see the weather was pretty bad. Is there any other rejection motives?

Think I'm going to hold off on commenting on your images for a while. I told you the image of PR-YRJ was soft/blurry, and you uploaded it anyway (which is fine, it's your decision), but when it was unsurprisingly rejected for blurry you appealed it (again, your decision). You can of course choose to ignore any advice you are given (twice in this case), but don't expect to continue to receive that advice.
