Ok. Care to explain to me what a editing halo is, Is it the border that outlines the aircraft?

Darker or lighter areas of the frame adjacent to the aircraft. Caused by overuse of editing features such as shadow/highlights, clarity, vibrance, etc..

How do I go about removing vignetting? I enabled the enable profile corrections "Vignetting" is set to 100.

Better to avoid it in the first place. Removing it after the fact without leaving traces of being overprocessed is quite difficult.

Should I shoot with a wider aperture?
it seems that using the profile correction in Lightroom did the job

                            No, the opposite.
