Without trying to sound like a sarcastic reply: don't overprocess the image. In this case, avoid whatever it is you're doing that's causing halos to appear around the aircraft.

Thanks for the reply! I reduced a couple sliders and did brighten it up a little more.

Processing seems to be ok, but I'd say still borderline dark.

Caught the Luftwaffe A359 departure from Vegas today and i'm wondering if this would be acceptable for submission

Don't do whatever it is that you are doing that is causing the compression. Without knowing your exact workflow, can't offer more than that.
