    i beleve it was my lens i went out today none was blured i orderd new canon 100-400 mm thank you i had hard time figureing it out
    and i use lightroom

    I find it very strange that the photos are so soft, in my opinion the 1280px file is soft because it depends on the postproduction program you use, you probably don't save the photos in maximum quality, I don't know what program you use ... photoshop or lightroom would give other better results. then maybe I'm wrong and the photos are already blurry right away and it depends on how you shoot.     Yes, an image being soft means that it is not sharp enough. More sharpening when editing may help, but if the image is too soft to begin with editing might not be able to fix the problem.
