  • Mohit Purswani - Post screening feedback/advice

    Hi folks,

Much appreciated for feedback on the below rejections.

    1). https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=9256526 // Air Charter Express DC-8

Understood re-soft, but I'm not sure how to address the contrast issue. Is the contrast too harsh (i.e. less is needed instead of more)?

    2). https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=9248634 // Singapore Airlines 772ER

I've been trying to get this image uploaded forever, this must be the at least the 5th or 6th rejection. Any advice? It's constantly been getting dark/underexposed and contrast rejections. I've been increasing the brightness and adjusting the contrast each time but it keeps on getting rejected for the same reasons.

    3). https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=9248604 // Dragonair A320

I am puzzled by this rejection. I did not do any vignetting during the editing process so I don't know why this is mentioned. And what could've caused the JPEG compression rejection?

    Thank you.

    1. poor contrast due to overcast/hazy conditions. Likely not fixable.
    2. contrast is too harsh. May be fixable.
    3. vignetting on left side of the frame, though it may be natural effect. Vignetting comes from your lens, not editing. Compression..looks like a heavy crop, and the quality tends to show poorly in those.

        Hi,

        For this rejection --> https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=9347442

Is my analysis correct that there is not enough contrast in the image (i.e. low contrast)? Grateful for feedback.

        Thank you.

Correct. Looks like there was some haze/overcast clouds. Not sure if it's fixable.

            Hello all.

May I get some feedback on below rejections please?

1). https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=10764233 // I really don't know whether more or less is required. My eyes say more contrast is required.

2). https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=10766663 // I believe more contrast is required? To compensate for the added darkness by increasing the contrast should I up the brightness by say 5-10%?

3). https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=10769545 // Contrast is too harsh right? Given how dark it looks underneath the wings.

            Thank you.

Flat light due to (partially) overcast/hazy conditions. Not sure editing will help much.

                Hello,

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

Above rejection was for vignetting however I did not do any adjustments using the vignette option in PS Elements. Just the usual brightness/contrast, adjustment of the levels, sharpness, re-sizing, etc. and that's it. The exif data will back this. The borders are dark however I don't think it negatively affects the image.

Feedback most welcome here. Thank you.

Vignetting is from your lens settings, nothing to do with editing. Your EXIF will back that. If you feel it doesn't negatively affect the image, you're welcome to appeal, but I don't think your chance of success would be great.

                    Hi,

Can I get feedback please for below rejected photo?

All clear on the undersharpened comment, for contrast is less needed? It looks rather dark underneath the wings so I think less is needed. Thx.

Looks a bit blurry actually. Poor contrast due to overcast conditions. Probably not fixable.

More contrast is needed correct, as I think it's not enough? Thank you.
