Good day to all.

The following photo was rejected in the database for being Backlit:

While I do agree that the lighting is slightly ambiguous, I do not see where the aircraft is backlit (especially due to the picture being from a top-down perspective). Would this be worth an appeal?

You can tell by the shadow that sun was on the other side of the airplane. So yes - backlit - not fixable...

The following picture was rejected for 'invalid hot', with screener comment "not a hot reason":

The argument for the hot photo was that the propeller spinner on this aircraft was blue, but was recently painted black.

In my understanding, albeit the change is small it does consist of a livery change (being a color change on essentialy an entire component of the aircraft, i.e. the spinner), thus validating the hot photo argument.

Such minor changes are at our discretion as to whether they should be considered hot. Please try to submit only images that show a significant change if you want to be sure to avoid such a rejection in the future.
