Good to know, thanks. I re-processed from the original, w/o the the filter. Does this version look better (acceptable for upload)?

Tail somewhat soft, but would be acceptable for me.

Can I get editing advice on this photo please. Taken through glass, so can't quite seem to get the colors right without getting it 'over-processed'. Anything can be done to get it to an acceptable standard?

Green tint would need to be removed. Contrast is borderline.

Color better, but likely a dark/contrast rejection.

Thanks. Ok, last attempt with this photo - I added a bit of brightness. Does it look better or should I give up on this one?

Borderline. May still be rejected for contrast/color, but maybe not.

Thanks, appreciate the insights. It helps me look at post-processing with a different eye. Contrast is something that is still tricky for me to gauge, though.
Can I get an opinion on the below set please. All were taken in overcast conditions and I am particularly concerned with contrast/brightness. Thanks.

Hi, is this photo be considered too dark? Also, would anyone from the crew be able to comment on the photos in the above post? Thanks.

                        1. noisy, borderline contrast
                        2. contrast, blurry
                        3-5. contrast

Would be rejected for dark/contrast and centering.

How are these for contrast? I'm guessing 1 is not great - do you think it can be improved?

                            No.

Second would be rejected for contrast, horizon, and maybe compression.

Also, tweaked this one a bit; how does it look re: noise/contrast?
