  • Pre Screen/Editing Advise

    Hello!

I would like to pre-screen my shot on my Oman Air A332, It seems that it might reject for some reason, probably contrast and JPG Artefacts. If so, kindly give some advice. I will be pre-screening my other pictures too.

    Thank you for the response!

        Greetings!

Pardon for my previous post, I was confused where to post for screening since I created this thread last 2021. Anyways, I would like to prescreen these images I would like to submit in the database. My current issue is sharpness, so I was wondering if it's sharp enough or lacking. A kind response is much appreciated.

        Thank you and regards.

          1. dark, contrast, soft, compression
          2. obstruction, heat haze, soft, compression
          3-4. soft, compression

The 'compression' means these all look like they were either heavily over-edited, or taken with a lower-end (small sensor) camera. If the former they may be fixable, if the latter then probably not.

I was wondering how could I identify easily if the photo is soft or not. Most of the times I could definitely tell that It's sharp enough but after screening, It would tell me that It's soft even in my point of view It's sharp. Can you please enlighten me using my photos?

            Thank you and regards.

Wherever there are sharp transitions (lines, etc.) if the transitions are blurred, then it's soft. If the transitions instead look jagged (like the edge of a saw), then oversharpened.

So, the lines on the edge are the basis whether it is sharp or not? I'll take a look into it, I am using a Fujifilm XS-1 nowadays, and probably on my editing I wouldn't crank up the sharpening too much. Anyway, thanks for the advice, I'm currently editing some of my shots and I'm kind of scared if all of it aren't that sharp enough for JP.

Is there any way to recover it? Or should I stick it to my personal collection?

                      Thank you for your response.

                        Don't think it is fixable.

                          Hello!

My ET 787 was rejected because of Overprocessed. I just wondering how it was rejected by that. I was told it was blurry, but I need a more detailed explanation on that.

Attached is the link for the photo.

                          Thank you.
