  • Are these okay? 2 of them obviously seem at least a bit dark...

          • I get horizon rejections with some regularity at Scottsdale. Most of the time I disagree because I just can't see how it could be more than .1 degree off. This is one of those. The runway has some very significant slope to it at this end which is extremely obvious in some of my accepted photos like this one https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/11482702 and this one https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/11442972

I don't see which direction it would need to go. Looking at the horizon gridlines, in some spots it looks perfect and in other spots it looks the tiniest bit off. The motion blur makes it even more difficult to tell for sure. I honestly assumed this was rejected for soft, so I'm wondering if its worth appealing. I feel like sometimes screeners might reject too quickly based only on the slope of the runway.

One of those damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't..level the runway, buildings will be off, level the buildings, runway will be off. Generally we prefer the verticals be straight, which they appear to be here. I would accept this on appeal, but couldn't promise the same for others.

Its a really tricky spotting location. A screener commented on another of mine just like this, saying they know its a tough call but it looked slightly off and upon further inspection I agreed, but this one looks good to me.

                I'll give it a shot I suppose.

                  It was accepted. Thanks, Dana

I think the aircraft itself is not too bad, but the paint job on the tail makes it look really soft.

Maybe a touch soft, but ok for me.

                            • This rejection caught me off guard a bit. I realize it's a dark airplane but I really thought it was properly exposed. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=12309119

Also, PS for these all well, mostly regarding sharpening.Click image for larger version

                                1. borderline dark/harsh contrast
                                2. horizon
                                3-4. borderline soft
