As soon as I uploaded the first one I could tell it was over done.

Can you explain what dirty means?

I think 1 is less over processed here. I think they all look sharper but my eyes might be tricking me. And maybe the dirty you are seeing in 3 is un-fixable?

That's what I'm beginning to wonder. I've attached an unedited image (minus the size). Can you tell if it's due to the original quality, and if so, what can I consider to get better shots out of camera?

This was at 1/1250, f7.1, ISO 250 with a 7D II and a 70-200 f4L

Not unedited if it's at 1280pix, so can't really comment.

Pre-screening on these, please. Unsure about the crop on the third one, in particular. Not sure if the orange thing is too distracting, also.
