  • billings.spotter - prescreening request / editing advice

For the last month since it rolled out from paint I've been looking forward to the Ellsworth Air & Space Show to see their new livery commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid. I was hoping they'd fly it, but it was only on static. I also was surprised to see the 75th anniversary South Dakota National Guard F-16 there. It was hard to get an angle with favorable lighting, and then it was even harder to get a shot with little to no people in the way.

My main concern is if the photos of the full plane would get rejected under 3.5 for obstruction/clutter, and if the closer crops would be rejected under 3.2 for having a majority of the plane cut off. I'm not exactly asking for an in-depth mock screening of each photo, just advice at a quick glance. Of course any other feedback is greatly appreciated as well.

Obstruction is an issue for 2+3, yes. Cropping is subjective on the other two, but the last would have a slightly better chance.

No comments on the quality, and please read here when you get the chance especially #6:

Prescreening will only be offered on the actual images you plan to upload.

Thank you very much! I did read through those guidelines, and determined that if I were to upload any, those four would be the ones. I was mainly testing the waters since the obstructions were obviously a concern and didn't know optimistically if maybe a special livery static at an airshow would be an exception.

      Thanks again for the feedback.

I think you missed the point: you can't upload any of those images . The system will only accept images up to 1920pix in size, and then only after you have received permission to upload at that resolution. Otherwise you will be limited to 1280pix, so asking for prescreening on anything larger than that is pointless.
