Contrast issue: request for advise

Hi everyone.

I'm working on improving my acceptance ratio and trying to learn from my rejections, so I'd like some editing advice from screeners and spotters on the following shot that was rejected three times:

You can see that the sky is bright and on aircraft there is a shadow, so the plane is darker than the sky, this will entail Contrast rejection.

I have similar accepted photo taken same day, same hour, similar angle and similar sky. So I'm confused what is wrong with contrast here.

Contrast is washed out, but I think the paint color is making it a bit more obvious on the rejected one, and less so on the accepted one.
