Afternoon all, VH-YEG an Embraer 120 Brasilla has not been at Darwin airport for six months having been bought by Darwin Aviation services. It has been put on concrete and fenced around the whole aircraft. I got a shot of it before my flight early in the morning, but how should I upload this? The fencing obstructs the aircraft, it's not going anywhere or flying again as its used for spares. What categories am I using? Night Shot, Relic etc Many thanks for all your help. Best regards.

With such an obstruction we have no reasons to accept it.

        Regards
        Alex

Hi, Had this photo rejected for 'Horizon unlevel' and 'contrast'. The contrast wasn't brought up when I first uploaded it, just horizon.

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

The problem I am having with the horizon is that there is nothing visible to line it up with or am I missing something. This area of Darwin airport is on a slight hill, but there dump stuff here as well. Look forward to any advice please as I think its' a good picture, just frustrating that I can't get one bit right. Many thanks and best regards

Looks like it needs a touch of CCW.

Morning all, nearly all of my photos taken with aircraft landing or taking off in clear blue skies seem to be over processed/bright yellow in the 'check dust feature'. On the histogram of each picture the Histogram has huge peaks to the right and nothing else on the Histogram. When I edit the pictures, this does not improve. Am I getting the exposure wrong, shutter speed, ISO etc?

I have tried multiple settings with my new camera (Sony A6400 using a Tamron 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD) and the results are mostly the same. I've turned everything off on the camera that can affect the photos, but clearly I am doing something wrong.

I look forward to any replies. Best regards

It is difficult to say without you posting what your current settings are. Typically, most people do. very well shooting in Raw, Aperture mode, F/8, ISO 100 or ISO 200 and let the camera do the rest. Personally, I don't know Sony, so I can't comment on the camera itself, Is exposure compensation turned up? Try that setting and post an example.

No, Exposure compensation is not turned up. I'm using near enough the same settings I had on my Canon f8, 1000 Shutter Speed and ISO Auto.

Try to post an example so that we can figure out what might be wrong. The parameter settings seem fine, maybe some sort of in-camera editing was on?

                          2. soft

Hi again, for picture 2, is it classed as soft because I've uploaded it at 1600px, where I normally upload at 1200px? I've hardly changed settings for my photos that get accepted (which are 1200px) but these are 1600px. Look forward to your reply. Many thanks

You need more sharpening on larger size so yes, be sure that they are fully sharp at 1600 if that's the size you want to use

                              regards
