  • State of the Forum

As most of you have probably noticed, the forums have been buggy the past ~week or so, first being slow to load, and now not allowing images to be directly attached to posts. We have made the issues known to FR24, but so far they have obviously not fixed the problems.

As such, I would like to request that you refrain from posting any new pre-screening requests until at least such time as the image attachment issues is resolved. Post-screening requests with links to rejected images or general editing advice is ok.

On a side note, I will be travelling from next week, so once the issues are resolved, I'll also ask everyone to please try and keep your prescreening requests to a minimum (max 1-2 images, once or twice a week) so that I will still be able to reply to everyone. If not, I'll start ignoring posts and maybe just take the whole 2-3 weeks off

Copy that, thanks for addressing Dana. Safe travels!

Thanks Dana. I was indeed wondering why I could not attach any image for prescreening requests as it kept returning an error.

        Thanks Dana for the update.

So, I guess this becomes an open question to FR24. JP always seems to be behind when it comes to requests/fixes/enhancements. FR24 has I'm sure a good revenue flow from the the subscriptions they have and can support their products with that revenue flow and manage JP separately. What can we as users do to inject some revenue into JP? So that hopefully with a revenue stream for themselves, they can gain a little more attention. And before everyone shouts at me, I am not looking for extra slots, preferential screening or anything like that. I am trying to find some kind of subscription that will offer people the ability to be give something back to something that a lot of people use. Let's say 1,000 JP users donate $30/year for a subscription. $30,000 is not a huge amount over a year, but hopefully, it would be enough to no longer have JP as the "bastard stepchild" but a contributor to the overall company.

        Just a thought...

Yeah, a subscrition would be nice, espessialy if it help with the bugs the site is experiencing. Or a way to give donations to the crew would be great, they would deserve them.

almost a month now, the issue is still not fixed.
Eight urns in line, seven lids to sway. Shift them about, no error to display.

Yup. I keep requesting something be done, but I guess we're pretty far down on the list of priorities.

No update from FR24 yet, but it seems it's possible to attach images in some cases?

As such, pre-screening is available if you are able to directly attach the images to your post. Requests that include off-site links will still be ignored.

I can't upload the "normal" way, but if you use the image button on the row where you can change text settings etc you might be able to make it work fot you as well. Below is a picture of what i mean:

I heard that some seems to have problems when following the advice in my my last post about how you can upload images and surpass the error message.

                              1. First you press the image icon as I described in the last post.
Click image for larger version Name:	Skarmavbild 2024-06-17 kl. 12.45.13.png Views:	0 Size:	7.1 KB ID:	1191824

                              2. In the top menu press 'Upload'
Click image for larger version Name:	Skarmavbild 2024-06-17 kl. 12.40.53.png Views:	0 Size:	22.2 KB ID:	1191825

                              3. Chose your file (mine says 'Välj fil' in Swedish your's might be different)
Click image for larger version Name:	Skarmavbild 2024-06-17 kl. 12.41.19.png Views:	0 Size:	25.6 KB ID:	1191826

                              4. Chose the file you intend to attach to your post (here's an example on how it looks on Mac)
Click image for larger version Name:	PNG-bild-C16E2D98C5F2-1 2.png Views:	0 Size:	56.4 KB ID:	1191827

                              5. Press 'Sent it to the server* And wait until it sends you back to the 'Image Info' page.
Click image for larger version Name:	Skarmavbild 2024-06-17 kl. 12.42.21.png Views:	0 Size:	27.4 KB ID:	1191828

                              6. When the 'Image Info' page is shown you can just press 'OK' . And voilà. you now have an image attached to your post
