  • Bad postprocessing

Hello! I've uploaded these two photos and both were rejected for "Over Processed / Bad postprocessing". I don't know what I should change in editing and what exactly is wrong so I'd like to ask for an advice.

    1. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=11815224
    2. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=11815229

    Thanks

Editing halos visible. These also should have been rejected for similar.

Do not use the shadows and highlights slider when editing sky pictures. This will always cause halos around the aircraft.

I tried to correct it. Is it any better now? I also noticed that halo is visible in the raw photo?

Processing is ok, but quite soft.

What should I change in 1 and 2, why are they overprocessed? I tried to edit both pictures again but I got similar results with just adding contrast and some exposure.

2 got rejected for "part of aircraft cut off". I'm wondering what's wrong with that crop and would like to hear some advice.

                    3.2 Cut Off

In many cases cropping out parts of the aircraft improves the photo.

If something has been cut off without a clear motive for doing so it will most likely be rejected. Generally speaking, do not crop through essential parts of the main subject. As a rule of thumb if you want to show a close up of an aircraft, show only the main subject. For example: a photo showing almost the whole aircraft, but with the tail chopped off will most likely be rejected. A photo with a part of the aircraft, such as an engine cut off will also lead to a rejection in the majority of cases.

Probably best to post the links to the rejected images.

Crops are a little awkward since you've cut the aircraft more or less in the center. Borderline, so while ok for me obviously others disagreed.

As a general rule, try at least not to cut through a window, door, or round form in general
