    Soft, backlit, vignetting. Not fixable.

        Soft, badly overprocessed.

Appreciate the advice. I'm trying to learn. I guest I'm going the wrong direction and need some help. Here is a 1280X jpg export from Lightroom from the original RAW image. Point me in a starting direction. Thank you!

Processing is better (no editing halos now), but still soft.

By soft, you mean out of focus? Please explain "soft" point to a specific spot that is soft and detail it. I want to learn. "Soft" is very vague without detailing it specifically. Train my eyes! This topic is what we need details on.

Soft means not sharp enough. Details like registrations and color borders are not clear enough, not necessarily out of focus. It can be fixed by adding sharpening, just make sure the details are sharp enough but not oversharpened (jagged lines along borders/excessive noise) when viewed at 100% on your computer monitor.

The whole aircraft. There is a lack of sharp transitions between hard edges. You can train your eyes by looking at already accepted images, and comparing to yours.

Appreciate the advice. Taking a really great, perfect or near-perfect photograph of a fast-moving object is not an easy task - even with the best gear. Taking a good photo is easier, and to the average eye, good enough. This is an incredible photography challenge I accept willfully - Thank you for your critical eyes; Be easy and honest, knowing I appreciate and absorb the more detailed feedback.

I went out today and took about 220 photos. Many are way better than the previous posted. But I’m not there yet, adjusting camera settings, working on spotting locations and watching many editing vids on YouTube. Work in progress.

No one was perfect when they first began. It took me years to achieve a consistent level of what I would consider 'good enough'. Patience + perseverance and you'll get there.

It looks a tad soft but the rest is fine
