  • Taco7985 - Prescreening request

Hi, I recently started posting on JetPhotos and a friend helped me edit some and wanted them prescreened. On the Qatar Airways 787 I don't know how to make the horizon level so any tips appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, recently this photo of mine got rejected and I don't know if its worth appealing it, or do I just re-edit it and put it in the queue again. Thanks.

It's impossible to read why it was rejected due to the tiny size of the screenshots. Can you post a link?

          Oh, sorry. It's for "cropping/photo edges/size ratio"

a Cropping rejection is due to:
-Size ratio outside of allowable bounds (eg 21:9, or 1:1)
-Cropping outside the photo area, usually shown as black or white corner triangles, edge bands, or edge lines.

So double check those things before appealing, as this is one of those rejection reasons that is 100% non subjective. If the photo clearly has a bad corner or an edge, it will be rejected, and if the ratio is beyond what's acceptable, the system will throw a warning.

Again, a cropping rejection has nothing to do with centering, your photo can be perfect, but if you forgot to constrain your crop and starting with 16:9 it's now 16.53:9, you might not notice the difference, but the system will.

Can you share the pixel dimensions of the image you uploaded? From your computer, so it doesn't show the copyright bar.

Dimensions of the picture are 1280 x 698, and if I remember correctly it's cropped in a 16:9 format. Sending the original picture as well.

That would do it. Allowable range for 1280 is 1280x710 through 1280x970.

I usually have my photos as 1280x720, and those photos have no cropping issues at all.
