  • Aviation_Dream1 - prescreening request / editing advice

I have been trying to upload some photos on jetphotos for quite a while now but every photo I've sent into screening got rejected. The most rejected reasons were
    • Undersharpened (Soft)
    • Backlit
    • Too much or too little contrast
I don't deny that these reasons were unfair to reject my photos, I reviewed my photos and agreed with the reasons why it got rejected. I would just like to have an explanation on what "Backlit" is because I looked up for an explanation but I don't still fully get it, and if I could get an advice on how to avoid having that as a rejected reason because I seemed to get that a lot.

I have some pictures (5) here that I think are my best pictures that could be also fixed with editing to be suitable for jetphotos and I'd like to get some prescreening respectively some adivce on these photos and what I should change so the risk is less for a rejection.

I thank everyone in advance that is willing to help me.

    Take care everyone

i dont really know how to explain it but backlit is when the sun is infront (you always want the sun in the back of you)of you so it only lights up the part of the plane you cant see. i hope this makes sense

    Im not a screener but
    1: backlit, dark
    2: dark
    3: also kinda dark
4: looks good just not leveled
    5: borderline dark

      1. backlit/contrast, soft. not fixable.
      2. soft, contrast, overprocessed
3, 5. soft, contrast. not fixable.
      4. soft, overprocessed, horizon, cut off

Thank you for all your answers, so I'm trying to fix picture number 2 and could you give me some adivce on how to fix the picture. As for example, how could I make it look less soft? because I've already put the sharpness higher but it really doesn't change anything, secondly should I use more or less contrast? And lastly in which way does it look overprocessed because I've edited it very gently and overused the tools, I didn't change anything of the color also so I don't really understand. I have here an updated version however I don't think it's really better. I've put a bit more contrast and sharpened it up.
For the picture number 4, it is unfortunately also unfixable because I took the picture with the little part of the tail cut off so I can't recrop it.

I hope it's okay that I send another few pictures but I'll do that in the next post

Thank you for help, this is really helpful to see what's wrong with the pictures.

        Kind regards

I tried to make it a bit sharper, how does this look? Is this acceptable?

Not a screener but centering might be an issue
