Besides being too soft, this picture seems to be way too large to upload. Is this the actual one you uploaded?
I had to get used to the IMO extrem sharpening which is required at JP to get photos accepted.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is IMO extreme?

InMyOpinion, my personal taste, I prefer less sharpening to e.g. avoid aliasing effects. The JP required sharpening doesn't look natural to me.

First of all, check your export settings. I used the Flickr EXIF viewer and I don't see any resolution in pixels, only the dpi (600), so you might have exported a physical size to print, the photo looks overly large and soft, and looking at the 4K size, it looks soft and with lots of artifacts. Given that the 7D2 is one of my regular cameras, I'd be inclined to say there's an export or processing issue. Either using some sort of AI enlarger, or Lr is upsizing the image on export. The photo does look borderline blurry but at that resolution any defect will be magnified.

Export for 1200 or 1600px, and I'd say set it to 300 dpi for now.

Lightroom sharpening can be hit or miss as you don't see the results until you export, if you have Photoshop, you should try 1-2 passes of USM, 50%, 0.3 px radius, and see how it looks.

Thks for your reaction, no the picture I uploaded was reduced to 1280, nothing else was changed.

Thks Felipe for your answer, I uploaded the same foto, but with 1280 as required but indeed in 600 dpi. Will look into your suggestions and try again.

Ok that does make a bit of a difference, but do check the sharpness after resizing. You can leave it at 600 dpi, it shouldn't make a big difference here, since you're not printing, just that you gotta export for a display size and not a physical size.
