    Hey -

I'd like to start submitting some photos I've gotten to JP. What can I do to improve chances of acceptance for the below photos? Thanks for any insight.

Also, Is the equipment I'm using (Panasonic Lumix GX9 + G Vario 45-200mm f/4-5.6 II) sufficient for JP-quality photos? With a few searches, I haven't seen photos on here in the M43 format.

Both images are very soft + noisy, and cyan cast. No chance of acceptance, sorry.

Cast I can fix but these are after a few sharpening/denoise passes. I'll see if I can produce better results in different conditions. Thanks

Got three more images from a day with better conditions, a closer position, and better camera settings.
Are these still not sharp enough? Is the casting better? Does this cropping work?

          1. dark, oversharpened, overprocessed, vignetting, compression, centering, horizon
          2. oversharpened, compression, centering
          3. dark, oversharpened, compression

I'll focus on the first image to save time since it shares issues with the other two.

            Dark
I lightened the image a bit without blowing out the lighter spots on the fuselage. Is it still too dark?

            Oversharpened/Overprocessed/Vignetting
This had a couple different sharpening methods applied, so I removed one of them. Would this still be too much? Does it also address Overprocessing and Vignetting?

            Compression
Photos are saved at highest available quality on the camera, and I edit Raw > Denoise to Raw > Jpeg - I'll see if there are other ways to maintain quality, and how I can adjust denoise.

            Centering/Horizon
The plane is banking in the shot and I have no vertical reference. Does that mean it would get rejected for horizon no matter how I crop it, unless I rotate the image so that the plane is horizontally level?

Still badly oversharpened/blurry/compressed. Are you sure the quality is actually there in the original?

This would now also be a cropping/ratio rejection since it is outside the maximum 4:3 range.

Looking back at the originals I guess the quality isn't there.
Since I don't see other people using crop-frame cameras on Jetphotos, I'll wait to get a full-frame camera/lens set before I throw more pictures here.

'Crop frame' means APS-C sized sensor? If so, that would absolutely be enough to get images accepted. Every image of mine pre-2017 on JP is from an APS-C sensor.

To be more specific, I was using a Micro 4/3 sensor camera.

Should still be good enough to produce images acceptable for JP in the right hands.

My picture quality is maxed on this camera, and I only edit raw before exporting; what else could I do to reduce compression?

It looks like at the distances I’d like to work with, photos will just come out below JP standards.

Still not clear what is causing the issues. Why don't you post one raw/unedited image to take a look at?

                            Here's one raw image.

Ok, I took a look. The quality's not super-great (noisy, underexposed, vignetting), but otherwise should be good enough for here if edited well and uploaded at 1280pix.

Compare my quick edit on the right with yours on the left:
