Coincidentally I have just been re-editing the original of a photo I also had rejected, with the 'too little/too much contrast' as one of the reasons. That's not the first time this has been a criterion for rejection for me of late. I have had a few of these recently and must admit that I am finding it a little tricky to find the sweet spot for the screeners for contrast when the subject is not in bright sunshine. Unfortunately I cannot see your photo because that link just takes me to the main page for the site.
