Looking for clarification on 'Too much or too little contrast'

Hello again.

I have had another rejection which has included an apparent problem with contrast (it was also rejected for being backlit). I have had a few of these of late. Here's the most recent photo:

I would be interested to hear thoughts on where the apparent problem is with contrast as, overall, it is looking okay to me. I must admit I am losing some confidence around this issue when the photo is taken in less than perfect lighting.
