It was very clear in the rejection e-mail. Rejected for a similar in the queue at the time of screening.
You had 2 pictures of the same registration, at the same airport, at the same time in the queue (the date makes no difference) and more or less with the same composition.
As per the rules, the 1st entering the screening is automaticly rejected for similar and the 2nd is creened normally.

Similar means phase of flight AFAIK, not viewing angle, so both are indeed similar, since the have been taken at the same airport and during the same phase of flight.
