  • Bad compostion - aircraft not centred

For the first time in my long JP career I have started getting a number of bad composition rejections. I don't believe I am doing anything differently in my workflow. Can a kind screener explain the issue with this one for example.

    Many thanks in advance.

to me it looks a little high in the frame.

Definitely a touch too high, though I swear I have been seeing more egregious examples popping up more lately.

Thanks guys - working with a new version of Photoshop and a new laptop has probably skewed my view. Will adjust. Cheers

          I'm not a screener, but...

          The lengths are too different.

Similar to the photo above, please see here. https://i.imgur.com/tM2pCtV.jpeg This is the biggest giveaway the aircraft isn't centered as well as it could be for such a framed shot. If you have the aircraft slightly lower, so that the two highlighted areas are balanced between the two horizontal yellow lines. DISCLAIMER: Depending on the angle/composition of the shot it isn't always possible.

What I have learned uploading here: Even if the centre point of the yellow cross displayed here is exactly in the middle of this part of the fuselage, the whole aircraft can still be off to either the top or the bottom. Use the circled parts as reference and keep the distances identical there and you'll be fine.

Just a little high. Screening tools can show you that:

And yes, you will find accepted images that don't fit directly in the center, but if you would like better chances of acceptance, try to keep it in the center for side-views.
