  • Near-Invisible Dust Spots

About a month ago, I took some photos down by DCA/KDCA, and was about to post it to JP when I noticed some near-invisible dust spots. Is there a way to Chet rid of them or do I just have to hope that the screeners doesn't notice it?

I mean the dust spot in the top left would not be in the photo if you properly crop the image suitable to upload to JP. The one below the aircraft in the second and third image would be easily removable with a dust tool if appropriately used. I would assume you would properly edit the image to a good lighting level before uploading

Is there a tool that is best recommended to remove dust from images?

any photo editing program allows removal and is not considered electronic processing on JP

You should use the equalize feature on the upload page before uploading the file to check for the location and the end result. In the editing software (i only can help with photoshop and lightroom) there is an option for spot healing brush in the camera raw editor and in the normal screen after it (or when the photo is loaded if its a jpeg on photoshop) and you will use it to remove said dustspots, to help find them check the visualize spots option in the camera raw filter.
You must do it in a way so it wont be obvious that there was a dustspot there (like drastic color change compared to the background) as your photo will probably be rejected for CMOS Dust spots.

Good Luck in your photography journey.
