  • Portable storage devices

I am planning a trip to Amsterdam - Schiphol at the end of this month, so I will need more storage capacity....

I was thinking of bying one of these :

Anyone got any experience with these devices?

Also, it would be nice if you could recommend some other portable storage devices...

    Thanks for your help.

I have the X'S-Drive II 30GB. Apart from beeing a bit battery consuming, I find it a very good solution.

Only thing is, I'd love to have a display, just to make sure, that all files have been copied onto my HD.

      Thanks for your reply
I have found one with a 3.5” color display though...much more expensive than the other one :

I dont know what to go for...with or without display?

A digital photo mag here in the UK recently reviewed digital storage solutions and the Smartdisk Flashtrax (or the Innoplus Phototainer equivalent) won the roundup very easily.

20Gb storage, big screen (relatively speaking!) and plays back avi and MP3 too?!?! That said I changed my mind from buying one and decided to go for a secondhand laptop for the same price.... added versatility, huge screen and a DVD-rom on board too so I get to choose what movies I watch on long haul flights without a decent IFE system.

        Cheers!
