  • Rejection Help please

    Hi
I got all 7 of my photos I uploaded rejected.

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364641
Blurry? It doesnt look blurry to me. I even sharpened it.

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364652
The only thing I see blury here is the APU

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364645
Ok so I guess i agree with this one being a little blurry

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364643
Ok I agree with this one on being to far away but not blurry

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364638
    It is a little blurry.

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364637
Blurry and too much grain? Maybe a little grain but its not blurry

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364634
Certainly not blurry, but still there is no grain but maybe a little over sharpened

Should I appeal to any of them?

Definitely not. The 300D + 75-300 is capable of MUCH better. Take a look at some of Dale's shots.

Also, the subjects are not taking up enough of the frame.

I'll have to agree on that. Next time i'll have to pay more attention to my settings.

True, but I thought it would be nice to show the surroundings of the airport for a change rather than only the plane. I wish I could get Venice in the shot but the spot is limited to what direction I can shoot do to some fences...

Still looks undershaprened, subject is also was to small in the frame.

Once again too small in the photo, also undersharpened. Way to small in the frame as well.

            http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364645
Bit of motion blur, extremely too small in the frame.

            http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364643
            Rejection reasons self explanatory.

            http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject.php?id=364637
Also foreground clutter, that fence is distracting.

            Um...certinaly is blurry.

Should I appeal to any of them?
            No.

They are more too far away and anything... and could use some extra sharpness. Also when you take pics make sure the 75-300 is stopped down to at least f/8.

Do you think any of the pictures could have a chance on getting accepted if they were edited better? Well since im still getting used to Photoshop, can you give a shot at some of the pics?
                    thanks a lot

They all definitely seem a little soft and dark. I guess if you shoot in better conditions/lighting you might get better results.

The lighting couldnt have been better! It was beautiful evening light. Being soft and dark has barley anything to do with the lighting and conditions outside, thats what photoshop is for. You almost always have to do some editing.

Ok, I screened many of those shots and the one that has potential is the last one. When I saw the thumbnail I thought 'This looks great', so it was disappointing to see the full size image was not sharp enough and a bit 'noisy', the composition is great in my opinion so you certainly have something to work on with that one.

If you are going to shoot in such low-light conditions as dusk or dawn, consider using one, or all, of the following:

                            1. + Exposure Compensation
                            2. Larger aperture
                            3. Slower shutter speed
                            4. Higher ISO
                            Will F.
