Got these in the Queue but don't won't to waste queue space if they are not going to make it.

The first SAS Star Alliance colours, is it to soft/out of focus I cannot make my mind up. Also is Star Alliance class as a special as I ticked the special box just in case.

The PIA is it too soft?

BA is not back lit, just no sunrays at this point! so too dark??

PIA - looks fine maybe a tad overhsharp but acceptable
SAS - Quality is a bit off and the photo is soft - yes Special scheme should be ticked
BA - fine apart from the odd thing in the sky above the first attena on the roof....?

    Hope this help

reckon thats a bird as its not on any of my other shots and I've only sharpened this one. Worth taking it out of the queue and "fixing" or would it make it as is.

Defo pull the SAS then, I think its soft and out of focus, shame really never seen a SAS Star, first pic of the day had not set ISO and AF points!!!! gutted!

The two remaining look fine to me. I wouldn't clone hat "odd thing" on the BA shot. Can be accepted as bird.

Had an hour at LHR this afternoon and this is the best I came up with, bad light and plus I stayed in the car as I didn't fancy getting blown away standing up by the main road by 09L!

            don't fancy 1 and 3's chances, 4 i'm 50/50 over, 2 maybe!?

              1) Acceptable
              2) Acceptable
              3) Abit Noisy
              4) Cropping is abit off, Part of subject cut off...

              Just my thoughts...

Cheers, yeah the THY is a bit noise just not enough light.
The crop on the SIA is trying to get both lights on the wings without getting any engines in as theres only half of one on one side and it looks weird.
cheers for your thoughts, THY defo pulled tho but this added

                    Ian,

The first two stand a very good chance of being accepted. The third had a small amount of noise, as pointed out, but I believe it was still acceptable and therefore you should have left it in the queue. I think you made the right decision on pulling the fourth though, the crop was 50/50 and the colour was very "iffy" too. The final one also stand a good chance of being accepted.

                    Hope that helps

                    Dale

was playing around with the underexpose settings on my camera yesterday as a few of my pics were burning out the tail or the white fuselage. I have a few shots that come out like this and I am wondering if this is classed as underexposed?
Tried knocking it down by 1/3, 2/3 and 1 the EXIF should be available.

Both pics OK, alhtough I would brighten up the shadows a bit to get more details under the wings.

Just out of curiosity: can you post the original file? I usually set exp.comp at +1/3 on my 20D!!! I'd like to see the histogram on your pics with exp.comp of -2/3!!

yeah I'll ping you an email when I get home later. It was the shadows that I thought the problem was, I'll lighten up the next ones then.
