  • Screener advice please ?

    This shot is in the queue at the moment, its my first upload from digital and wanted some advice on it please ?

    Im no screener, but i would say , not centered, and bad colour.

      Hi Martin,

      Welcome aboard !

      From what I can see you should try cropping closer to the nose & it seems a tad soft so a couple of bursts of Unsharpen mask would fix that

          Thanks guys, Sam it looks better already. Will try to crop the shot and sharpen it abit more than i had then.

            Id also say that the colour needs some attention. Seems to be a pink hue over the photo that could be leveled.

              There seems to be a fair bit of compression in the photo too, which is a little weird for a 350D. Is your camera set to taking large jpegs, and also are you saving your photos at the best quality in your editing program?

                I doubt its full quality, the file is only 150kb or something, A photo like that should be atleast 500+ kb

                  Always shoot highest qaulity, the pictures look alot better

                      Yes it was shot on L setting on my EOS350d, i then edited it best i know at the moment and resized to 1024x768 which is my max upload size at the moment. Macca
