If you have PS use an adjustement layer of curves. Use in S-Curve in which you add brightness to the darkarea and reduce a bit for already light areas. The pic is sweet indeed.

Small prop, quality looks a little iffy. Personel preferance on weather it will get rejected for bad angle.

Isnt because you cant view the registration or because you have this blind angle ?

Light seems okey to me but I had to hear your comments first.
