Hi all,

Just wondering if this would pass screening?
It was very close to sunset, and I had to use 400 ISO, and don't have a very steady hand. Lens is a Siamg 50-500, it if had been a Canon 100-400 IS L, I'm sure the result would have been better.

Too soft I'm afraid, with the nose and tail verging on out of focus.

My gut reaction is that the highlights could be toned down a little to just bring a little detail into the cowlings and body of the Avianca. Use the curves tool, left click on the engine cowl, note where the little box appears on the graph and drag the line down a little. It won't need much at all.

The ramp shot could use a touch of sharpening.

Sorry to be a pain in the butt but each time you reprocess it comes back a little different.

1) Way too noisy and also the contrast is off I'm afraid.
2) not centered, ask yourself the question "What are you trying to show" ?
3) A bit soft

1) oversharpened (look at the jaggies on the wings).
2) some parts are soft (nose). please use selective sharpening to improve it.
3) a bit soft too, contrast not so good (as you were shooting with no sun...)
4) soft and noisy
5) contrast. a little ccw rotation needed (maybe 0.3)
6) a tad soft, borderline acceptable
7) contrast might be a problem as shooting Etihad scheme in bad weather is kinda hard
8 ) ok

The main problem is that you have been shooting in bad weather. in those conditions I don't go to the airport except if there's something extremly rare coming in.
