Do you need any Pre-Screening? - Limited to CREW reply ONLY.
I am always not sure whether the following pictures are ramp shots or should be uploaded as the aircraft.
Is there any rule I could follow or is it for every picture different?
No. 1 is a line up but has 1 a/c as the main object centered --> upload with the aircraft infos
No.2 and 3 can be considered as ramp, but 3 is blurry
No.4 has a backlit a/c as main object and the area around it is rather blurry. The area needs to be wider for a ramp shot.
Hey, just wondering if every Ryanair aircraft that has some sort of advertising on the back end (like in the linked picture) requires a special scheme category when uploading? I think I read somewhere that around 70 Ryanair aircraft have similar advertisements on them.
I'm totally uncertain whether something like this could be accepted. I know the light situation is really difficult, the ground is really dark and the aircraft has very sharp reflections of the sun.
I still like it so I would be interested if this could pass.
recently, I had this paperprintscan rejected for bad quality and backlit.
So, I made a new scan of better quality (I think), but off-course I cannot change the backlit issue.
Is it anyway acceptable; keeping in my mind there' s only one photo of this a/c in the old colours in database?
Sorry Freek, but that's honestly a really poor scan. Registration is not even close to readable, there are sharpening jaggies, compression artifacts and what appears to be very aggressive noise filtering making the whole thing look like a watercolor painting and of course its still backlit.
Sorry to say, despite its relative rarity I would certainly reject this if it came up during screening.

A last try with less denoising and trying to slightly reduce postprocessing and usm where possible.
The area behind and around the aircraft is still very soft because the distance to the aircraft is about 1,3 km and with light from behind, the air destroys some detail.
