My recent upload of China Southern Boeing 757-28S was rejected for "Window Dirt/Glare".

I would like to know which exact area of the picture do you mean the glare/window dirt. This is basically to understand the reason for reject and to avoid it next time around.

    I don't see a problem !
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

    • The glare at the nose is disturbing!

      • Sorry Peter but that is about the pickiest reason I've ever heard to reject.

Only number 1 looks suitable, the others have the sun from the other side of the a/c (as you can see from the vertical tail stab that is in the shadow)Those will, unfortunately, be rejected for being backlit.

                cheers, Pamela

The close up one is borderline, other two are backlit I am afraid.

I think the two others of RA-96016 and the Tu-214 are good enough. They are toplit imo. The last is indeed a bit to much backlit.

                    • Is this shot OK, or does the light kill its chances? It was shot just before the sun reached the airport and some clouds reduced the light even further.

                      • Any opinions or is the lack of a reply telling enough?

This one is borderline. Try to light up the dark parts just a little bit more without adding too much noise. The sharpness is excellent, I give this picture a pretty good chance.

Like Roel said, it's a bit dark, but otherwise looks good for upload.

                                1) First one is too dark. it is a silhouette but the outline of the airplane can barely be seen.

                                2) Second one is dark, looks compressed and seems to have some flares or halos.

                                3) Third one looks okay to me. But save it in the highest possible quality and be sure to tick wing view and night shot categories.
