However, I'd accept the colours, though if you could desaturate the yellows a touch it would look slightly better (in my opinion), looks pretty level, composition looks ok. I dont have an issue with how much obstruction there is, but maybe another crew member could weigh in.
But the compression needs to be fixed before we can make a meaningful comment on noise and sharpness.Last edited by Simpleboy; 2013-04-17, 11:06.Sam Rudge

No issues with the obstructions as the aircraft is visible in its entirity. If you can reduce the temperature of the image and make the white balance better it would improve it no end. Sort out the compression and we can have a look at the sharpness/clarity of the image.Best regards,Dave

Thank you for the responses.
I desaturated it a little bit and decided to host the image at Imageshack instead as Photobucket seems to compress the image I think.

It looks much better, but is it possible to run some NR on the sky?
Also, with regards to the saturation, when you do it, up the top of the hue/saturation box there should be a label for edit, then a drop down box, change this from master to yellows. Select that, then desaturate. Then if you can, select the golden stripe and add some back in just.
If you've shot raw, you shuold be able to just play with the colour temp to get it looking right.Sam Rudge

Hi - got this shot of the new American scheme, and I don't see any others of this particular aircraft in the new scheme in the DB so far. Would that qualify as a hot photo? or is the scheme already "old"? Also, is this still a "special scheme" or just their new scheme from now on? Any other comments? Thanks.

The new American scheme has been around for months now, even on the 738's. It no longer qualifies as a hot shot and it's definitely not a special, as the scheme will eventually phase out all the shiny silvers
Aside from all that, the shot is kind of soft. If you can sharpen it up a bit, it should do the trick.
On a separate note, please do not ask for pre-screen guidance on shots already in the queue.
Thanks
Hans
