Bad (Over/Under) Contrast

hi,

i got these two rejected for Bad (Over/Under) Contrast.

i would like to correct it because i like both, but i honestly don't know what could be wrong with the contrast. any idea would be appreciated.

Both photos has a white glare over them, thats why they both got a bad contrast rejection. Other than that they look fine.

Add abit of contrast and it should be fine.

will one of them will have a chance? any other idea to correct it? especially on the us is still a white glare.

It might just be me but I'm seein some compression on the NW shot.

The US with added contrast looks better and will have a chance. The NW now looks a tad overexposed, but give them both a go with the added contrast. I don't see any compression on the NW shot

Have also been having problems with contrast but there is only so much an image can take before other problems arise. I always use levels and bring the sliders back to where the curve begins and they look fine on home monitor. Have added contrast to 1 particular image but it was still not enough and got rejected again. I will add more and resubmit but it is getting to the point where it no longer looks accurate in terms of what I actually photographed.
