I have been looking at my uploads recently I am still new to digital photo processing but I simple feel that I have a tendency to go OVERsharp

I have been getting some rejections for too soft and when I re upload, and I sharpen them up, I feel they are TOO sharp and yet they are accepted.

any guidance? just something I have to develop a knack for?

IMO the first one looks alright. But could have needed selective sharpness on the nose..

MD11 is pretty screwed up though. Lots of jaggies.. and under/oversharpened, Blurry comes to mind too.

I dont know wy this is accepted , No offense to you but I wouldnt accepted this one.

How do you process your photos after they have been rejected ?

My advice to you is that you start over from the scratch. That if you still have the originals. Dont edit the actual rejected image...

in some cases, i just touch up the edit, but in most cases, i start from scratch.

As you tend to build up compressions when you uploaded it, and more comps. after an image have gone trough screening and having it rejected. The rejected image would not have visual (if you're lucky) compressions and thats why im saying you should start over again , just in case. because of the damages to the picture being saved, and rejected, being edited and saved for another go ni the queue. But good thing to hear you start over in most cases.
